Paradise Out of Focus (1992)

Form: Chamber Instrumentation: flute, oboe, Bb Cl, horn, bsn Year: 1992 Duration: 15:00 Premiere: Not yet performed

Earliest work for wind ensemble, composed during my student years.

Program Notes

This piece was most certainly inspired by an early obsession with the wind quintet instrumentation in a period where I was closely studying the chamber music of Darius Milhaud. Still not yet performed, it is a student work for standard wind quintet instrumentation, with a cover design by Bryan Durren, my roommate who went on to great artistic success.
