Pianist Tomoko Kanamaru and a specially chosen group perform the third movement of Avatar, in its first performance outside of New York City. Tomoko will also perform The Birds of Barclay Street, most recently performed at Steinway Hall. The composer will address the gathering in a lecture on career options for composers, musicians and new media, and the artist as citizen.
